Future Endeavors
The HOH Board of Directors have a HOH Mission Statement under consideration. The basic statement is as follows;
"It is the mission of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Hall of History to preserve and promote the history of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and in so doing provide a means for the objectives of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol to be enhanced".
The Board agreed that the statement needed to include the concept of "public education" and some other ideas that will ensure that the public is aware if the important role of the NCSHP and it's history.
We are reviewing several history publications that have been used by other organizations to publicize their history. As you know, we rely on Dr. Albert Coates' book and a publication by Lt. Rector for most of the recorded NCSHP history.
